Gifts for Dad Under $50

In our house, our boys always insist on ”buying their own gifts” for Dad at Christmas. I love that they want to use their “own money” and pick something out all on their own.

That said, how much does a 9 year old really have to spend? Our boys would use their saved up chore money, or funds they have socked away over the last 12 month from babysitting or whatever other method they could find to save up. There is a true sense of gratification they get from this.

THE AU NATURALE DAD

CLASSIC WOODEN JOURNAL

Woodchuck is one of my personal favorite to-to gifts for Dad. Not only do they have awesome products for him, but for every product purchased, they plant tree. Love it.

iPhone WOODEN SKIN

Woodchuck, once again gets our vote. Love the clean lines and innovative design of this phone cover. A friend has this cover on his phone and it looks as cool today, a year later, as it did when he first put it on. Durable and classic.

THE BIG KID DAD

REMOTE CONTROL HELICOPTER

We found this little guy on Amazon and couldn't believe the price! The Syma R/C Helicopter is the perfect gift for the "he's just a big kid" sort of Dad.

ELECTRIC POWERED PAPER AIRPLANE

This blew my mind the other night while I was out Christmas shopping. A real paper airplane (which our boys have enjoyed making for many years) powered by a small battery. The POWER UP AIRPLANE from Restoration Hardware's gift selection is one of the coolest gifts I have come across in a long while.

THE HIPSTER DAD

U.S. NAVY WATCH CAP

Last but not least, the Askov Finlayson'sBergland Watch Cap (navy) is a truly hip "dad gift". The twist here is the small tag that gives this traditional sailor's cap it's uber-cool style. And navy is the new black! So cool.

Another way to make dad's life a little more fun + and a whole lot easier is to simplify his daily day-to-day. Sign Dad up today to be the first to know when the Who's Driving app is available. Dad will thank you for this gift! Happy Holidays!
